wrx tmic conversion

how much would custom hardpipes cost if i wanted to install a wrx tmic? just estimate please. would it be a better ic than what we have?

side mount maybe, or front mount im not sure yet, but i can get it for a good price with hoses and clamps.

Can the stock top mount on the WRX be able to fit in the stock location for our side mount?

In other words... does anybody have or know where I can find dimensions on the WRX top mount intercooler?

jesus christ people. just look around ebay,buy a core and endtanks and have it custom fabbed to be a front mount. or remove your stock IC's and have the pipes done up for that t turn in into a front mount.

theres plenty of NPR or spearco cores on ebay that can be turned into any kind of custom conversion you can think of so long as you have a shop that can do the piping for you

He is getting a free TMIC why would he want to buy and peice together one from ebay? :rolleyes:

I'm getting mine for free. Raku is getting his from somebody else and is probably buying it off of him... (at least that's what I get from the posts)

I'm agreeing with Twisted in that it's probably cheaper to go the parts way through ebay... (werd) if you had to buy it and either were a good welder or knew somebody who could do the work on the cheap.

Personally, I'm looking at the possibility of mounting it in the stock location so I can cut down on the custom pipe work.

it doesn't take a genious or anybody with any kind of degree to weld some endtanks onto an IC core. make sure the parts match up and you don't get one thats too small for your application or one thats too big for that matter so you don't suffer preasure loss and you should be fine to have whatever company your little heart desires custom fab you up some pipes to complete your front mount,side mount,shit cut holes in your hood for all i care and do a top mount if it tickles your pickel
