I went to the track the other night for the first time ever. I made three runs with the MSP. I compared my runs with my friend in a GTI 1.8T. I have him off the line and all the way to the 1000' mark, but then he pulled away to a 15.273 @ 93.42. He does not have to shift into fourth because of gearing so i think this is why of the higher speed.
Run #1
R/T____.484(Sucked)
60'____2.302
330___6.428
1/8____9.867
MPH___71.52
1000___12.818
1/4____15.326
MPH___89.49
Hooked up fairly good off the line. shifted a little early out of first.
Run #2
R/T____.284(Better)
60'____2.372
330___6.466
1/8____9.896
MPH___71.56
1000___12.852
1/4____15.481
MPH___85.03(Missed fourth)
Had a little more wheel spin in first. I also missed 4th at the end of the track, which reflects in the low MPH.
Run #3
R/T____.276(Best)
60'____2.489
330___6.646
1/8____10.143
MPH___70.30
1000___13.137
1/4____15.699(Sucked)
MPH___87.49
Way to much wheel spin in first and to top that off i hit the rev limiter which hurt the time some.

What kind of light were you running off of? I'm curious because where I ran in Montana, we run with a staggered 0.5 second tree (cutting a 0.500 light is a perfect light).
Good numbers. The best I ran with mine (stock with flash) was a 10.556 in the 1/8 mile (short dragstrip). Guess altitude does make a big difference (track is near 7,000ft.)
Sorry about the above question. Over here, that would be a red light (jumping the gun). Don't know if Englishtown is set up differently.
Times look pretty good for stock. Shifting and wheel hop off the line makes all the difference. I may still have my old thread with my numbers somewhere on this board. If you want, I can PM you mine to see the difference.

They have gone to the new LED tree. A zero is the perfect time.

THEY HAVE LED TREES NOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?! (shocked)(wow) Holy shit we're behind the times here in Montana.
DEAR GOD!!!! THE STAGECOACH JUST WENT BY!!!
Seriously, I didn't know that they've switched to 0.000 as a perfect light. I'm going to have to check this out.

do you run it untill the rev limiter in 3rd. I hit redline at a little over 80MPH. if i dont shift it seems like i will have to hold 3rd to long.

you seem to have more power then I do. your speed at the end is higher then mine for the same E/T. you probly need to work on the 60' times. what does the rest of the time slip look like. BTW I was post flash on my three runs.

Here's the slip: (YesI carry it with me... :D)
R/T: .649 (staggered)
60': 2.483
330: 6.6
1/8: 9.978
MPH: 72.75
1000: 12.89
1/4: 15.351
MPH: 91.16
My opponent on that run (i have video...man is it funny) was an acura, but I'm not sure what kind. He ran 19.886 @ 63.39. I'll have to post that vid at some point. It looks like I'm moving as fast as a funny car vs a riding mower.
