tranny question

I was wondering if it is possible to get a manual transmision from another protege and switch it to my automatic transmission car?

If it is possible, is it a huge installment project? What other details might I need to know before doing this?

you'd need a donor car basically to do this. bottom line: not worth it.

I was planning to get the manual transmission from a junkyard for really cheao and installing it on my car. wouldn't that make it cheaper to do the conversion. how much are we looking at here?

Do a search. You will need more than just a tranny...

I would have to say, just try to be happy with your auto. Then next time you get a new car, go for the stick. Honestly it'd probably be easier to trade in your car for one with a stick, either way, it'd be better just to accept that you have an auto for now.
