Type of oil to use?

When I start me MSP, it is noisy. It is definitely dry-starting, which I know isn't good for the motor. I have 4k miles on it now. Anyway, I'm thinking I should go to a synthetic type of oil to reduce or stop the dry-starting. What does everyone recommend?

How many times have you changed the oil & what kind did you use before?

hey, mine is the same, and i used valvoline 5-30

I use Mobil 1 5w-30 fully synthetic :D

I've only had the oil changed once-@ 3k miles. The dealer did it and they used Castrol 5w30.
