Just wondering if these are out yet. The more polished pipes under the hood, the better.

the radiator isn't attached directly to the engine other than the rubber hose. unless you get some new motor mounts you would rip the upper hose off, and kill your engine.

Theres a universal DIY kit you can get thats somewhat like what your talking about. Pirana just bought it but I dont know if its installed yet.

I was thinking of replacing the rubber hose with hard pipes. They sell a hard pipe to replace the radiator hose for the MKIV Supra.

EDIT: Here is a link to the product I am talking about. Maybe we can get something similar?

the problem is that your engine is going to jiggle around but your radiator isn't, a hard pipe would just rip out if you accelerated....steel braided lines are your best bet if you want something better

I also ran across this. A must have for those Carbon Fiber junkies:

I'd be better to get colored silicon... Hard radiator pipes still have connectors so anything you do in this manner is PURELY for looks. The expense would be kinda big for what you actually get. Samco is starting to make more parts like this now. Something universal they offer might be able to work in the Protege.

What's this have to do with MSP's specifically?

I have a braided steel sleeving kit but I dont like they way it looks. Installing it forced some imperfections on the braiding but for now its staying on. If there was a ready made steel braiding hose I would be all over that.

The thing is, I've seen this done on plenty of other cars. But the steel braided lines are a really good idea also.

This post just happened to fall in the MSP category because I mostly read this section, and since I have an MSP, I was wondering if I could get this part, since a lot of parts are exclusive to the MSP.

I believe its the same radiator and same hose on all 3rd gen Proteges... someone correct me if I am wrong.

You're probably right.

The SS sleeves are fake. The point of SS lines is for really high pressure applications, the radiator/coolant lines NEVER needing such a thing. When you do something that is fake like that it becomes ricey... IMO.

I did that on my Probe.. I took it all off when I did the motor swap though. I was in high school (and a small town no less) when I did it. I've come to see the light in past years however. :)
