I've decided to part out my car so that I can afford to buy a new one.
This thread is for Racing Mazda Headers. I bought them about 3 months ago and they are awsome as you all know.
Make me an offer at fwmurcko@uss.com
I'm looking in the $250-$300 range. I think that is fair. I paid $340 for them and they already have the correct modification to get them to fit.
Any questions email me at the address above.

hey sundevil, how's teh ractive one coming along? hahaha... you don't have to answer. i already know. this header takes out both cats. gains are impressive with this header. read the writeup on the racing mazda (search racing mazda header) by matthew who has an injen and an hks axle back. he also has video of it. it sounds really mean... but almost raspy rice with the pops. like rice crispies. otherwise, this header is the real deal. $250 for something this new is a good deal.
what do the cats do?
yes im new dont laugh!

no probly not. everyone go look in my thread in the how to section if you need any info on the header (not header-s)

I'm hoping this _does_ fit the 1.8 FP-DE cars - I have a '00 ES and I'm in the group by for the RM header. In looking at the parts list for the two engines, some of the exhaust pieces are different, but the location size, etc. all look the same.
I suppose I'll find out soon enough once they ship :-)

im pretty sure it wont fit. you should have done more research before you jumped in a group buy.

Do you have any specifics as to why it wouldn't work? If so, then I will bail on the gb, as they haven't shipped yet. No reason to take the hit on something that won't work :-)
Thanks,
Kevin M.

honestly i dont know, i think it could be size or placement. you might want to call Ric from racingmazda.com asap and ask. his number is on the site.

it will only fit in the 2.0L fs-de engines. that is it. It is made for the 626 I beleive that used the earlier fs-de 2.0L engine and so is a direct bolt on for that engine and ours with extra bungs added in and a test pipe for the rest of the space from where the header ends and the catback system starts.
it wont work on the 1.8, i am pretty sure there are several things as to why, including bolt size/pattern, flanges, basic design and length and so forth.
I am really not that well informed on the specs though, someone like TheMan would be the person to PM to find out.

cats = catalytic converters, they filter out stuff from your exhaust fumes for emissions laws
