So if I took mine in today to get it flashed because of it stalling, dose that mean I cant run very high boost, or is it better w/out the flash. Damn this flash thing........to cofusing.

look at the top for the sticky but here i'll give you some info that i know

basically with the flash for some reason you shouldn't boost more that 10lbs b/c of the different timmings. What i know it will cause detonation if you boost to high. <crosses fingers, hopefully im right>

It really depends on what your gonna do with your car to answer if you should get the flash or non-flash

my tech guy said the flash is good for ~10hp and boosting shouldnt be that much different... just keep it under 10 he said to be safe

If you truly love your car, you won't mind reading a million posts to gather information. Back when I registered, I read *EVERY* archived thread in this section.

You cant just "crank the boost" In ANY car. It is safe to adjust it to about 10-12 PSI pre and post flash. Anything above that, and you will have to gain control over your fuel and timing.

I strongly suggest you utilize the internet to learn about forced induction, and how to tune for it. It is alot more then a turbo on an engine, and cranking the boost controller up. :D

And yes I have read a lot of post and still have more to read and yes I will look into the forced induction, Im doing everything step by step to prepare for a boost controler. I not only want to have a kick as fast car but I'd like to keep it for awhile...lol.

When the tech rode with me to show him the hesitation prior to flashing me (my car that is), he told me to turn the boost up to 12psi.
