Which BOV do you like better and why?
Where can I get both for the cheapest and where can I get the flange I need to install either of them. Also its fine if I run both of these without the hard pipes? Anyone have the turbo XS RFL and is there a flange available for that also?
Thanx
Ryan

As mentioned previously, you WILL stall your car if you do not recirculate the BOV.

actuly with hks you will only stall during the shifts if you try to stall, the hks is pull type , wich doset let air in at idale :)

if you have hard pipes then your car wont stall with an HKS.
www.groupbuycenter.com has a groupbuy for HKS for 180. This doesnt include a flange which you may need if you have or are getting hard pipes. If you have stock pipes you will need to recirculate it with an adapter.
Its probably one of the most functional BOV's out there, next to the Apexi dual chamber. It is also very loud, with a high pitched shriek.. very distinct.

Im ordering mine from that groupbuy this week i think. :)

yes, it's fine to run either bov with the stock plastic piping. you'll just need to get a flange that you can run a hose to. also, if you want to recirculate the hks, you'll have to remove the fin insert which gives it the distinct high pitched whistle. check out this link for a very detailed writeup on the hks ssqv and sound clips of it recirculated. expect it to sound very similar on our car.

also, fyi, i'm currently talking with 935motorsports about possibly using the blitz bov for our car (with recirculation!).

Hmmm, what t3ase said is kind of true, just be sure if you get the HKS SSQV you need to set it to the softest spring setting, don't drop the clutch, use a lot of down shifting and you'll be fine. Although, I want to try the greddy bov cause some people have told me it's louder.

I'm using an Apexi Twin Chamber non recirc - no probs here.

TYPE-S-------> yea you can i did but it was a bitch if you look at the inner part of the opening theres threads so i went to home deopot and took the BOV with me i found like a dubbled threaded male part that fit pirfectly then i got tubong that fit over that peace clamped it then ran the other end in the intake clamped that now its piped it it took me like 15 bichy min. lol to do it but no more stall i can tighten it all the way and losen it all the way no stall!!! but where should i set it at lol

or you coulda saved yourself some trouble and bought the recirculation fitting from greddy. but you should set your bov as loose as possible without leaking any boost. that way you get maximum response.

now wtf would be the purpose to recirculating a Type h rfl? there is none. rfl stands for really fucking loud. if you were to recirc that it wouldn't be really fucking loud anymore. i was gonna get that but opted for the gfb stealth fx instead.

it's a bov by turbo xs. its SUPER DUPER loud. so loud it hurts some people's ears. it has a huge horn to amplify the sound.

*shrug* there have been two wrecks that I know of personally from our cars stalling out due to an installed BOV. Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should. You may be able to get by with some BOVs, but just be very careful. That's all I'm sayin'

Also, the stalling has *nothing* to do with what kind of piping you have on your car. The ECU is counting on that air to come back into the mix but you're letting it escape..

I can understand that the ecu is looking for the air to be put back in the system, but isnt it just a small amount of air that it shouldnt make the car stall?
