you can get a brand new one for about the same price as that used one.

Hell I say get the mp3, plus with the extra 3 grand you be saving you could get a turbo kit and be faster than a stock msp. Plus the yellow for the mp3 is more rare than any color for the msp.

Dude, those prices are kinda high. You can get a new MSP for $17K or lower. $18K for one w/ 14K miles is a ripoff.

Your insurance would be higher with a MSP and I think that also with the MP3 just because the car is rare

I've got a P5 (if that's what you were referring to as a wagon... don't worry I'm not THAT anal about it) the cornering seems to me to be just as good as anything you'd want. the stock speed of the car is a little rough but it only weighs like 100 lbs more than a Protege ES and still less than an MSP. (for those of you that don't believe me, there was a thread on this a day or two ago)
you can do a lot of cool shit to the P5 or any other Protege for that matter. the P5 is just really nice if you were looking to do a kick ass sound system. if you can handle the insurance on an MSP and like the idea of a sedan over a 5-door then I might go with that for "stock" driveability.
IMO

P.S. if you don't drive a stick now or don't know... LEARN and get a 5-speed.
