Hi ~

I'm interested in getting a mp3 spoiler from mazdastuff.com for my 03 ES. Currently I have the factory spoiler. Do I need to drill holes to install the mp3 spoiler ?

(sorry for cross posting in protegeclub.com, want to get answers fast :)

Holes location are not the same for factory and MP3 so youll have to cover the old one...

It fits the factory holes.

Why would mazda make two different hole locations for their cars in the plant. It makes sense to make the same hole locations for all cars. Less complexity.

So if you need any kind of work done they hope that you take the car to them so they can make money off of you. I really have no idea.

that's not really true. The spoilers for the 2003 mazdaspeeds and the 2003.5 speed proteges are not really interchangable without drilling holes.

I have an mp3 spoiler on my 2003 lx....I did not have a spoiler on it before and I did have to drill holes....which I am sure everyone has to do.My friend is going to sell his .....he has a black Mica protege and it is painted and all...i think he wanted 225 for it or something like that...good if your gonna install it yourself...I did the install on mine and it went well....not hard but make sure you line everything up and becarefu when drilling the center hole

is there a reason why you prefer mazdastuff over anything else? there are replicas that are cheaper, is there any big difference between the two?
