I had to take my MSP to the dealership for a coolant leak, while I was there the service manager and I were talking and he said that Mazda uses Mitsubishi computers to help keep people from overboosting.

Could this be one reason why our computers are hard to find a piggyback for?

He said that's what he was told when he had his trip to TX, about the speeds. He also said that the Mitsubishi logo was on the computer (I can't confirm this since mine is in the shop).

I don't know how true it is, but worth looking into if you are trying to get one to work.

Boost isn't controlled by a computer in the MSP, so I don't see how a Mitsu computer would prevent overboosting.

I don't know why he thought the computer would control boosting, and I didn't want to point out that all that needed to be done was put MBC/EBC in and you could change the boost that way.

Well now I know, I didn't know if this was common knowlegde or not, figured, it could help someone.

I also complained about the clunk to the service guy (not the manager) and he said, "we can't fix that, it's characterists of the car"
If it was characteristics of the car I should have heard it from day 1 not 3,600 miles after correct? On a better note he did say that Mazda was making a new replacement bushing, but this is old news, but atleast the heard of it.
