I bought my msp last week. Anyways i had to bring the car in to the dealer to fix some minor stuff and have the tranny looked at.
I noticed that the shift knob was scratched up and dented where it says sparco by someone wearing a ring.
Now i just saw that the steering was was so scratched up that its peeling on the bottem.
Should i call mazda usa???
I'm afraid to take my car to the dealer now. I'm taking my car in to antoher dealer to have my car flashed but they asked me if i bought the car from them.
Should it matter where i bought my car from??

it does not matter where you bought the car from, they propably want to get you in the PC at the dealer. Usually they are " real " happy having you get your car serviced there...

I'm not sure how it exactly the warrenty thing works. Do the dealers get paid by mazda for warrenty work?? Because i hear all these horror stories about getting warrenty work because the dealer denying it.

Yes they get paid....to get them to treat you nice, tell them that you would like to have your car serviced there vs the other dealer as you are not happy with them

Okay they ordered a new steeringwheel and shift knob.
I'm happy.:D
now only if they can fix the 1st gear and ecu flash.
Gee wanna compare notes. Every smack and scatch on my mp3 is from my dealer.
3 wheels scratched. replaced two, while putting on the new one they scratched it as well. DOH!
washed it after me saying to not touch it, scratced hood, and roof.
Got nail in tire, my fault, dealer beat up rim taking tire off. Forgot to balance it putting tire back on.....beat rim again balancing another day :(
MY MSP
Scratched rim, very small, while patching tire...another damn nail, scatched dash putting in stereo replacement 1st time, stereo was doa, got another stereo, scratced my cup holder outfit thingie a few weeks later, and shifter.
An my steering wheel has a slight rub on it as well. Not sure about that one.
Make no wonder I don't bring my car to the dealer for anything anymore unless I have to.
Mechanics deny everything...arg
No other Mazda dealership around

i got a better one. i took the faceplate off the headunit and put in the glove box. when i picked up my car, it was playing one of my cds and the bass settings were changed to play louder.
i hate the dealers.
I used to take my faceplate off and take it with me when I had the mp3, for the same reason. They did that too.
oh, and that's how I think I lost one of my speakers. took near 5 months to get a replacement thanks to kenwood discontinueing the stock ones...but the replacements were much better then stock ones so I got over it.

Just FYI, my kenwood headunit fails to retain the same settings sometimes even if I start it after being parked outside all night. Bass setting likes moving itself from 60 to 100 most of the time for no reason or something weird like that.

I hate dealerships (aka "stealerships" as someone else once said). It is Mazda's responsibility to get me a rent a car when i bring in my car for service, and yet they won't do anything for me because I'm under 21. That's bs.
