When Installing my Injen, I noticed a little accumulation of oil in the form of a small drip in progress that was on the bottom of my turbo. I thought little because it was such a small amount. But I keep thinking about it and it seems like when my turbo begins to spool its loud but the harder im on the throttle the less i hear it. Is this with everyones MSP? It get almost unaudible even with the Injen. It might be me, but I also feel like im loosing power when the turbo gets quieter. Could this oil leak be causeing my turbo to operate incorectly? Anyone with info please let me know what you know.

My turbo has a very small leak also, not enough to accumulate, but enough to make the top of the turbo "wet". I think it is easy enough to fix it. My leak is coming from the top of the turbo where a kinda of tube leads into it. You can see it when looking down on it. Can you smell the oil burning cause I can. Its only slight, but enough to make me worry.

My turbo leaked from that flange when I first got my MSP back in Jan. They replaced the entire turbo. Was a big difference in boost once the new one was put as well.
Also is the metal on your turbo a dark color? Mine was it was getting too hot it had something wrong with it. The new turbo has about 6K miles on it and is still silver color versus the old one that had 3k miles on it and was turning very dark.

I have the same problem with my 2003.5. I was smelling the burning and looked everywhere for it until one day I smelt it really bad and opened my hood and could see the smoke coming from the turbo and noticed the collection of dirt and oil on the center where that bronze looking plug is. should I take it to the dealer and deal with their crap of get help else where.

I would take it back to the dealer. I have read plenty of threads with people having this problem. I got mine replaced and it has not leaked one bit since.
