Ok so I am really pissed and wanted to know what everyone is paying for Insurance for the year. I went from a Lexus IS300 to the MSP (way more fun) 10 months ago and I pay $1,380 a year from State Farm for full coverage on the MSP. My insurance went up with the MSP from $1,200 with the IS300. Oh yeah, no tickets, accidents and 25. WTF.
The MSP will whip the IS300 any day. Oh Yeah.

Full coverage for my MSP is $1600 a year. But I am a 21 year old male so they like to make me pay more.
My girlfriend has a Mercedes C230 and she has to pay around $2000 a year, so don't feel too bad.

You're not paying that much. I pay $77 a month for full coverage and I'm 28 with a clean record. Or course that includes the non-married penalty, which is BS -- it's basically "legal" discrimination. Insurance is the only thing that pisses me off more than car dealerships. And the 1 time every 100 years that the insurance companies actually take it on the chin, they get bailed out with taxpayer money -- September 11th is an example of that.
I'll also say that anybody who pays more than 4000 a year for insurance on a tin can like a Protege is a moron. Just take the chance without it and hope you don't get in an accident. If you do and can't pay for it, the govt will pay for you anyway.

Hell yea
Except i pay 270 a month, and am 20, with State Farm.
Louisville, Ky, has some of the highest rates in the Country, or so i hear.
I got quoted for 1600 for 6 months.. im just glad i turn 21 in feb, when my insurance falls to about 150 a month.
I have no tickets, and one MINOR MINOR accident which didnt raise my rates, but canceled the Steer Clear Program i took.
I apparently did 560 in damage to a car when i left the ebrake off and my old car in nuetral. It rolled 15 feet into another car at a walmart parking lot. The car was damaged already and they claimed.. Stupid lying bitches. I had an off duty sherriff coincide my story with the agent, but they still paid out. I was so pissed...

I'm 38, single, clean record, and I pay $1500/yr with State Farm. That's with $1000 deductible too. I've been with State Farm for 20 years, you'd think I would get a better rate. I tried telling them it was a regular Protege', but I guess they can tell by the vin what model it is. They also made me take it by the office so they could see it, so there went that idea.

Lol well if this was a contest I beat you all, $6500 a year full coverage no accidents no tickets, just good old 18 in new jersey. Well that's what I would have been paying had I gone under my own insurance. I got 5 different quotes from insurance companies and that was the lowest on my own. So I'm under dads and pay $1500 a year now. :) much better.

A little over $1600/yr. with a Life insurance plan. I actually saved money since the life insurance is cheaper than the multi-line discount. Once the college gets my grades fixed on my transcript, I'll have a little more knocked off.
State Farm in Montana.

I'm paying $168/month = $2016/year. 22 years old, 1 accident, and a DUI on my record from when I was 18. I guess I'm making out good. When I had my Civic insured on the same policy, I had a multi-car discount, and a good driver discount...Don't know where that came from, but it's gone now that the Civic is removed.
I pay under $1000/6 months for my 2001 MP3 and 2003 P5 together!
I have progressive and just got a 35% discount for no claims or ticket in the past 2 years.
ALso they go by VIN and the MP3 still lists as LX. That may be the same for the MSP.

I about passed out when I called my insurance agent for a quote today and again when I read what some of you are paying. I was going to whine and complain but I guess I shouldn't with a quote of $1094/Year = $91.17/Month.
It really ticks me off that a $27k Miata is only $956/Year. If only it wasn't so slow.....

~$1700 a year with full coverage. 23/single/male on my own policy. good driver discount, no accidents no points, and insurance discount for lo-jack.
The thing that kills me is my annual mileage (70 mile commute every day, they said if my commute was shorter my rates would drop by a good amount) and living in the bay area.
If you have a good record, Amica Mutual has pretty low rates for a driver under 25. Progressive and others quoted me $1000 more a year. Ouch.

$177 a month -
3 cars -
2003 MSP
2002 Spec V
1993 Ranger
1 ticket for me - 64/55
3 tickets for my husband! - dumbass got like 2 this year! Not sure if the improper driving lights counts against him or not!
Have USAA!
Anyone who can have them should have them! Each year that you are with them, they send you a refund check - it gets bigger as time goes on!
They really are the bomb!
