I just recently purchased a OEM car cover and I was wondering, when it is raining, can you leave the car cover on or will it damage the car because the fabric can't repel water??

Are you talking about the Clear Cover or the Black Leather Looking Cover. If your talking about that black cover, then it could damage your paint if left on for way to long. You will begin to see a discoloring in that area where it was at. But to leave it on for a day or so or few days should be fine, also depends on the weather as well.
I really dont know about the clear cover.

here we go...
Mosom fabric is naturally water resistant. there is no need for a chemical surface treatment or retreatment for water repellency as with other car covers. under normal use there should be no problems with leakage... etc. etc. etc.
the car cover itself is very soft. it's like there's a thin layer of velour on it or something. it shouldn't scratch your paint, especially if you have a good layer of wax on your car.
