I think some one posted this already...But it is cool.

I'd rather buy Foo's SWC Protege if I had the $65,000 to do it

yep, I just want the roll cage. Although that would be totally un usable in the real world.

You'd need more than that, lol. As fast as the SWC Proteges go through engines, u'd need it. Not to mention other drive train parts, brakes, and tires. Tires alone would cost you a small fortune. Damn it sucks that racing is so expensive.

I know about the rest of it...That's just the initial cost.

Umm, it IS stock with a cage.

SSC= Showroom stock C

I am planning on bidding on this one, I have been talking to the guy that built it about it for a few weeks. I actually started looking for it and then it just shows up on eBay.

Coincidence?

I would only want it if it looked like this:

you know the roll cage in the WW protege isn't too bad, i don't think it was a full roll cage (been awhile) but who uses the back seats anyway =p

i wouls rather talk to tri-point and see if they would help me build my own racer then buy someone else's that might have problems

Tripoint builds nice cars, but we are talking about two different beasts here. Speed Challenge and Showroom Stock are worlds apart. I wouldn't consider buying it except for two things, I know the history of the car and I didn't really want to tear apart another MP3 to race it because of their limited status. That is why I have been looking at the totalle cars here lately, to convert one into a race car.

I may wait however, my wife and I are going to purchase a John Cooper Works Mini for her, so there won't be enough room until I sell my other race car.

i agree man, is just that it seems fishy the selling of that mp3 with only 1000 miles and only one race

Speaking of Showroom Stock C...kind of off-topic...I spoke with Mike Kramer today the national champ for this years Valvoline Run-Offs...He drives a Saturn SC2 and he was telling me about the competing vehicles...ie proteges, neons, and civics. I wish I could afford to race a SSC car.
