To all that have flashed there PCM... Are you running joe.P's FPR kit as well? Just curious to see if the FPR kit has helped even with the flash.

I've had the fpr kit on pretty much since day one. I have not taken it off since. So I dunnno how it'll affect performance wise, but I've happy with my car now and it's still rich as hell, so it's staying on.

Mine runs fine with the FPR after the flash. I tired it without the FPR and didn't notice much difference.

Not noticable. It helped out enormously before flash at stock boost level though.

But what if we wanted to turn our boost up to 10psi? Wouldn't the FPR combined with the flash run the car too lean and run the risk of inflicting unspeakable harm to our delicate little engine?

yes

ummm...ok. How about boosting to 10psi WITH the flash but WITHOUT the FPR. (With colder plugs of course)

Think there will be problems with that?

that's your chance to take. the professionals at mazda said no more than 9 psi, that includes where you spike. but there's a couple people that are boosting >10psi WITH the flash (some are at 12) and haven't had problems yet. so it's your choice.....take a chance and up the boost or keep your motor safe and boost 9.

i say stay at 9
at 9 with flash feels like 12 without flash

Hi, where did you hear that 9 psi was max? I'm not doubting you, just curious...
