wont you need a 03.5 MSP steering wheel to match the yellow stitching in youre 03.5 MSP seats?

03 steering wheels had orange stitching.

And do you know if the back seats in a MSP/p5 are the same? I am looking at a yellow p5, but would love ot swap out for 03.5 msp seats

P5 rear seats are completely different. The folding back assemblies are different plus they have mounted head rests. Best thing to do is just to refurbish your original seats to match your taste. Would be cheaper than finding and shipping new seats.

does this mean that MSP rear seats wouldnt fold the same as the P5 seats, and wouldnt have head rests, but that they would fit? or are they completely different shapes or something

when i was at the mazda dealer yesterday getting my radio fixed (or i should say not fixed), i looked at the MSP rear seats and first, they look like they aren't a split fold down with the bottoms that pop off like ours do. Also, they LOOK a lot thicker, so that might make fitment an issue. This is an observation mind you!

And yes, I mean an 03 MSP steering wheel. I thought the earlier models had a grey 2-tone to the wheel and not orange. But either Grey or Yellow (Better!) would be cool.

Thanks

I believe they are a completely different shape but would have to have the cars next to each other to compare. I am under the impression that they are completely different because the floor pans in each car are a different shape. I noticed this the first time I had my P5 in the air. My 01 ES looked alot different from underneath. The suspension geometry is alot different on the P5 as is the way the rear floor pan is set in place also. The P5 is a completely different car from the rear seats back.

No I did not instal it it got a little tricky with the turbo timer, They had to put a relay so the shock sensor will not arm till the turbo timer shuts the car off so i let some one else do it cost me $295.00
As for the exhaust I have 3300 mile on my car so I know I won't go over the 3500 mile mark in two weeks. I can take pics if you want will have to be tomorrow I am at work right now, I am replacing from the turbo back.

Just for extra info...the MP#/MSP seats will not fit into the P5 due to the way our bottom seat panel fold. If you were to look at the bottom of both seats, the p5 seat cusions has a frame that the seat cover is held to. The MSP/MP3 cushion is one piece all the way across and makes no provision for the frame that the P5 cusion has. I had both cars parked side by side the other day and it won't work.

all i have to say is that i drove an ES, i put p5 leather seats in it. oh yeah i got them to fit. i have pics to prove it. the backs didnt clamp in right but believe me there is a way to do it. i did it, hell i could probably do a how to on it, i did the seats and door panels, came out nice, no one knew it wasnt factory leather
