Yep, the title says it all. Not sure what happend...maybe I forgot to tighten them down, but the two bolts that hold the driver's side rear calipers on to the spindle are missing, and I get to my bro's place just in time to see that my caliper was on the inside of my rim dragging. I have been on a search all damn day to find Hex Falange bolts that are the metric 10M with a 1.25 thread pitch, and 35mm long. Not much luck to find that in a Grade 8 strength. I ordered some new ones ($12 for 2 fucking bolts!), and got recieved some temperary replacements from the dealer (lower strength probably). I get back to install and put shit back together, and I find that one of the damn pad holders that let the pads slide back and forth is missing. I run back across town to home in my mom's ride, and remember that I threw away my old stuff a couple of days ago....  What a fucking day! Don't think I can make it to work tonight....

DOH! That really sucks. At least the caliper didn't caught between and bind between the rotor and the wheel. That could have been ugly.
THis happened to someone else before too.
I can't remeber who though.

me, me, me!!! i had torqued mine to what it says in the online manual, but one on my front drivers side fell off, i locktited the 6 dollar replacement bolt, and it too fell out...i also had a rear one come out!!!, there should be three threads from each time it happened, i remember it was like 6 months between the two.
Thats right, now I remeber! (lol)

Mine too.
I must have forgotten to tighten one of the bolts. I have a temp fix in place now until I get my new clip to hold the top of the pads on track.

Probally just worn hardware then but, that is some awfully expensive bolts there Linux. If you find a alternate source please let us know.

To change the rear pads, they have to come off (on an MP3).
Being the gluten for punishment I am I will be taking off my calipers for no damn reason ASAP!

I hear you linux, but I'll leave that up to the shop, I'm now officially afraid of that day when brakepads are needed.

Linux
You didn't tighten the bolts all the way. You need to tighten those things untill you can't move the socket wrenght any more.
Don't stress it. same thing happened to me when i was 17 and i learned my lesson and tighten those bad boys!!
