Nice time forcefed.
I switched out my denso fuel pump today for the stocker and oh crap was there a difference. My car runs sooooooo much better now its obscene. Good luck to you. I plan on hitting 13s next time at the track with slicks. We'll see who will get there first.

i pretty much installed it as a safety precaution when running upped boost. My friend with the sick rx7 (tech for mazdaspeed) told me it would be a good idea. Oh well i will run faster now though, i am sure of it.

Good times, like I have been saying from day one- you do not need insane mods to go 13's in an MSP :).. Damn, you beat me by .1 :). That's ok, I got you by 1 mph :D.. I wouldn't recommend the flash for you though, not the way your car is running right now. Congrats.

There's a guy in town here I've seen run 14.0 w/ just a boost controller. Not sure how good of a driver he is either.
But one advantage here... we're like at zero elevation and have a pretty good track. :-D

I'm working on getting those times at stock boost :) I'll know how close I am soon!

Nice times, its good to see this car can run that fast with minimal mods...

Yea, i took my Injen out, i figure i only really need a MBC. Besides, the Injen CAI makes more noise than it does power. You can quote me on that. :D I like a quiet ride that puts out.
unwrittenLaw
09-19-2003, 03:24 AM
So you don't notice any extra power w/ the Injen?
NEED4SPEED
09-19-2003, 03:39 AM
Well, i really want to say that i do, but... i dont. :D It probably improves the vehicles power somewhat, but not enough for me to really tell. There is a street that i take my car out to every time i install something new, and i make a few runs to see the diff. Ive been out there about 10 times with the injen and about 30 times without. Btw, without the Injen, my car is stock.
You know when you first buy something for your car and ya install it and your all stokked about it??? Well, sometimes just having that "new thing" can play mind tricks on ya. I think the Injen did it to me. The sound alone makes the car feel like your going faster.
I dunno, im sure everyone's story is different. But for me, ill take a quieter car over minimal performance.

Get some drag radials and get your 60' around 2.0 and you'll be in the 13's, nice times though.

Was that at Kilkare?
I wish I could have a boost controller that I could easily take on and off for autocross... but I can't touch my downpipe so whats the point.

Thank you Joe!
I know this thing will go thirteens!I just need a little more traction.
At the level i am at now ,it makes for a really fast street roller!
Think of the fact that on the street you are rolling already when a race starts. This makes me an easy thiteen second car!
Thank You to Everyone else for their positive comments as well!
It is nice to have a thread that doesn't get JACKED nor goes to flaming or BS!
This is the type of post that we as the MSP members should be known for!;)
I will be going back to the track tonight for the Street Legal Drags and maybe if all goes well,I will be posting the first thirteen sec time slip for a MSP with soo few mods!
I told you guys in my sig,
IN SEARCH OF 13's!
May the force be with me!
Matt:D
And yes Distant Tea,It was at kilkare and they had some great traction last night! You should come out to the track tonight to just hang out if you dont want to race,it would be fun!As long as thery are running(if it doesn't get rained out )I WILL BE THERE!
