2001 mazda mp3 with 40,250 miles..everything is stock...except the mp3 and the sub was replaced by an empty trunk and a fagget ass cd player that seems to be a byproduct of two homosexual monkeys that needs to be replaced. The LIARS aka dealers had it out for 12995, and I was able to drop it to 11600 to make it 13000 flat including TAX and LICENSING. So there i was in the financing office and this fagget tells me my dad (awesome credit) can only get 7.75 even if he is lucky enough, and was telling us to sign the farkin contract n buy the car. We were like hell no. Then we talk with my dad, in KOREAN since my dad doesnt speak english that well, and this fagget tells us that we're rude?? WTF. What does this son of a hermapherdite's goat's gay boifriend thinking? Does he want us to fucking WRITE the conversations down so he don't have to hear??? motherfucker..I almost called him ROOTS --;; Yea so we left, and I came home that night, applied for auto loan at capitalone.com or something and was approved for 5.04%. Yea Yea madaphooka! The next day the liars called, "you were approved for 7.75%! wow" and I said "sorry i got an offer for 5.04%" -.-v uh ohh~ the liars are in trouble..and they ask me if they match the deal if i would finance with them. So i was like uh..if u BEAT the rate i MIGHT..and he calls back saying he could get us 4.75%. So we're going back to the dealer in a few days...and was wonderin. Is this a good deal??? Should i bring the price more or buy it???

honestly I wouldn't walk out the door with paying more then $11k. I'd say pool together some more money and buy spoolins mp3.

You'd have to drive and get it, but man oh so worth it.

It would be a much smarter decision... especially since he is taking offers...

it sounds like you just MIGHT be rude. you almost called him ROOTS? sounds like a biggoted comment to me.

more on topic, the interest rate depends on the year. you are not going to find as good of an interest rate on an older car, which is almost 3 years old.

technically, the MP3 can't be 3 yrs old considering they didn't come out until Summer of 2001. Even though they are considered 2001 model year, they came out with the 2002 P5's.

HEY IF IS A MAZDA DEALER, they should be able to give a lower interest rate since your dad is co-signing with you right, but it is a good interest rate at less than 5.

So then how old does that make the first Protege 5s?

I just sold my MP3 for 12000 with 26000 miles on it. What is your tax rate wherever you are? Take the 11k and multiply it by your sales tax rate and figure that out. Don't pay any BS shipping or destination charges, that's all crap dealers add on for doing their job in the first place. I always refuse to pay that crap.
Good luck, but I would'nt pay a penny over 10500 with that kind of mileage. It's too high.

the P5's are 2002's but for one reason or another, the MP3's are considered 2001's. They both came out at the same time from what I saw.
;) Just a random fun fact (that makes me feel like my car is newer :D)

i always wondered why they did that. My car was a year old the day i bought it. That hurts our resale even more.(not that im selling)

hey man 40k is really high, the average is 12k per year, the car is 16k over the average and even if is all highway is lot for 2 years, i only have 13900 on mine since july 2001, but hey all depends on what are you plans for it, $10500.00 sounds about right

Actually this is good. It brings your avg. miles per year way down. The first year you had no miles.

If the salesperson is an asshole, don't bother. Look elsewhere.
