disconnect the battery. mash on the brakes for a while.... maybe wait a few minutes. voila.
hook the battery back up and you are good to go.

thankx but a stupid question,
why neg??
is there any disadvantage or damage to car in disconnecting the pos??
I ask this just because I reckon the pos is more easier to get to physically.

Because when you pull off the positive first, you have a chance of "grounding" your wrench to something metal.;)

The neg is right below my strut and hard to get to
so is the only bad in pulling the pos out is case of touching other ground.
If I am more careful there is no other harm, is that??

you unhook the negative because when you hit those brakes. the brake lights require power, since the battery isnt going to be supplying power (since its not grounded) it uses up whats left in the capicators in the ecu..thus, its resets. I've done it a couple times. works like a charm..
