What color would you paint your brake calipers on your spicy orange MSP?

Many black owners have only seen the black or haven't been around the orange long enough to get a feel for what colors would go well with it. The orange looks completely differnet in real life, IMO, so I just made it that way. :D

FINE, you got me. I'm a Colorist!@#

SPICY ORANGE FOREVER, MOTHA FUCCAS!@# WHAT@!#?

(rofl)

You too much. I have been around a few spicy oranges and if you would like to submit my NON biased opinion, it would probably be black. The black and orange combo just smokes! :D

You are right -- that's why I captured the "essence" of the orange in this thread. But like it says - it still looks more "peachy" in pics than it actually is.

I've seen plenty of Oranges before (and ate some of them too, yum!), so...

Not red: Just bad, think about it
Not yellow: Orange and yellow? No, you don't want to look like an orange cream soda

Maybe black: It would look good against the orange, but it won't be attention getting since it's black-but it will look nice with the lighter 2003 wheels, it wouldn't look as good with the 2003.5s

Silver: Neutral, it looks fine

Purple: Might actually look good, depending on which shade

Orange: Would look ok, but since the MSP orange would be hard to match, especially since it has the mica in it, it would be tough to make it look good.

Others: nah

Conclusion: Paint it green :D

Girth, awesome pics, the essence came out nicely (thumb)

Another thing I'm wondering is this. What if I get a high temp base coat (primer of sorts) and get a spray can of normal temp spicy orange mica covered with high temp clear coat? Would the base coat be enough to protect the mica from the heat caused by the brakes?

Also, after going outside and using my imagination, black would be okay but it wouldn't stand out by any means. That kinda goes against why I want to paint the calipers to begin with.

Blue is complementary to Orange; that's what I'd go with. Most people don't like it at first, but it really grows on you.

Since I go to U of I, I'd have to say Blue and Orange is really the only way to go!

Well, I've been told red by a very trustworthy source but blue looks nice in Photoshop, too.

Nope. The base coat wouldn't act as an "insulator" like you're wondering.
