I am new and was wondering if anyone had really upgraded their MSP yet? And I mean really upgraded.

Bigger turbo, new engine parts, lighter wheels, carbon fiber hood and/or trunk. Stuff like that.

I see a lot of people with small upgrades but has anyone gone crazy to see what theis car is really capable of doing??

I think kenetix had claimed to have done that but then had gone back to stock.

Some member of this board do not believe him, others do. I have not taken sides.

OrangeMSP is probably the one that has done most.

I think he got rid of his MSP but he basically replaced the entire turbo setup with a T3/T04E.

He did beat an SRT-4 with his mods.

but yeah, talk to Spool

LOL. I beat a SRT-4 with just intake, Joe's MBC & FPR. You don't need a T3/T04 to beat one, they're not that fast man. :p

yeh it all depends on the drivers. in my opinion.

It's all about the driver. That is why I could beat my friends 1990 Formula Firebird in my 1990 Ford T-Bird v6, not a superbird :) . Basically he totally sucked and I got everything out of mine, man that was fun.

Doesn't take any skill to mash the gas in 3rd gear. ;)

But a comment on the SRT-4.

Magazines fluctuate a lot from cover to cover and I have read like 8 different versions of the comparison between a SRT-4, MSP, MiniCooper, and those kind of things.

But if I compare the best times I've ever seen the SRT-4 had like a 5.4 0-60 and the MSP had a 6.6 0-60. Something like a second can be achieved I think by a few MSP mods. Especially if they work out the kinks and get all of the power out of her.

There are quite a few MSP's that can take an SRT now. Infact I think you could take one with only about $4-600 in mods

I beat a yellow SRT-4 and I was at stock boost w/ no mods!! Believe me, it can be done.

A major factor being the driver.

What plans do you have to mod yours? If you don't mind sharing.
