:'( Beautiful Sunday to take in a soccer game.Not one to take my car into town if I have to ,I park my car in a relativly empty parking lot and head off for some soccer action.Sound good so far??? .WRONG!!!! when I get back to my car after the game I see a note on my windshield ,uh oh that can't be good news So I read ....."A blue Nissan Quest license # 000 000 hit your car" Shit!!!! so I frantically run around the car searching for damage I don't see it at first ,but then as I bend down I see.............

Probably a hitch ,there is no other damage ,except he cracked the fog .I hope they don't patch the hole .I would expect a new bumper ,no???.Yes I wen't to the cop shop and they looked at it and they will investigate.They told me to take the car and get an estimate.Tuesday I will take it to my Mazda dealer they will charge a pretty penney and sen a-hole the bill:D

Man I wish someone would have left me a note when they hit my car in a lot. They hit my rear kit and cracked the fiberglass real bad and took a chunk out from under the taillight. Some people really have no respect for other people's stuff.

Well obviously when it is a hit and run in these cases they do not what to claim responsibility because they will have to pay for it ,most of the time nobody sees a thing and we are left angry because we are alone,there is nobody to back us up .In this case I was lucky to have a witness,too bad they did not leave their number,I guess they did not wan't to get involved.Every time I leave my car unattended for awhile I always do a walkaround to see if there is anything new as far as any damage is concerned.It really does suck when you do see something and there is nobody around who saw anything.Just like when somebody stole all four of my brand new winter tires last December:mad: .But hey you can't watch your car 24/7 now can you!

In a way though something good does come out of all of this ,by getting(hopefully)a new bumper and fog light I can start over with my car in terms of appearance.The bumper had some small nicks in it already.As you know by now Mazda paint is extremly sturdy.....NOT!.So this will give me a second chance to take better care of her.Once the new bumper is on I will buy the full Mazda bra(yes I know alot of you outthere don't like it ,but it does save on wear and tear and it doesn't look that bad:) )Now if I can only find a way to bubble wrap the rest of the car!:D

Damn that sucks. What insurance company do you have? I was in the same situation and my insurance company did everything for me. And my rates didn't go up either.

Seeing that this was a hit and run and someone left me note with a description of the plate and vehicule ,the cops said that it matched and they would investigate further.So the a-hole who did this will have to pay and nothing comes out of my pocket and my rates won't go up ,since I technically do not have to contact my insurance carrier.In Quebec even if they don't catch the guy we are covered seperately through provincial insurance.i.e the government would pay.So they told me not to have anything fixed until I get an estimate(duh).This I will do tommorrow after work ,I will go to the dealership and see what they say.

well, my accident didn't envolve any other cars. some asshole cut me off, slammed on his brakes to turn, then didn't. I had to swerve to miss him. I hit a little bit of sand and the car wouldn't turn. I slid into a curb with the wheels turned, and it broke the lower control arm in half! I guess the guys who caused it never saw me, cause he just left. I guess it wasn't hit-n-run but it pretty much was. So, to the insurance co. it was basically my fault cause there was noone else.

it sucked to the tune of $3500 minus my $500 deduction, but they are slowly bleeding it back out of me.

i was sitting in my old car a couple of years back when some old man opened his car door right into mine. he shook my car, that's how hard he opened the door. i looked at him, he didn't say a word and went inside of a store. i was soooo tempted to key his car, but instead i just kicked his hubcap really hard and set off his alarm. he comes walking out and asks if i touched his car. i look at him calmly and say "yes, i did." he knew he fucked up by not apologizing for his door so he just walked away. my car was all dinged up, even before this bastard touched it, but it still felt good.

Yeah it looks like someone else saw it happen and gave you the info...The note didn't read..."sorry I hit your car...etc..." Thats what is so crappy. I would really go after this guy/girl...hit and run really sucks. I have had it happen to me when I owned a 1961 MGA - I knew who hit me but I couldn't catch up with them...nail them!!

Well it is now December and they finally got around to fixing my car,they replaced the bumper and a foglight (which was already cracked from before.shhhh!!).This was last week ,it took them 9hrs(bullpoo!)to fix.Anyway nice job or so I thought, a couple of days later when the snow melted around the foglight area I noticed some paint missing ,flecks to be exact(I only noticed this around the foglights because I bought a full bra for the car and this is the only exposed area)Holy Shit batman !! A dealer paintjob fading in less than a week ,must have been painted on a Monday:( .So I now have to bring the car back for a re-paint .I know it is not a factory paint job ,but it should last me awhile shouldn't it ???

I'm sure the owner didn't...I leave notes all the time when I see shit happen in parking lots...it really pisses me off when I see people drive off. I just do what I would like others to do for me.


On a side note, some lady in her Town Car almost hit me in the supermarket parking lot this morning. I backed out of my spot and was about 3/4 out when she decided to back out of hers from the opposite row. I had to lay on my horn to get her attention...when she finally turned around to look where she was going she was talking on her cell phone. ERRRR. Thank god she didn't hit me because there would have been hell to pay. It took her about 3-5 seconds to realize the person honking was (a) behind her and (b) was honking at her.

I am very careful about where I park...but no matter how careful you are, it only takes one of the 1000's of careless people on the roads to put a ding (or crack in your case) in your baby.
