how long before... [Archive]

just wondering how long everybody here waited until opening it up...the manual says 600mi but i'm thinking about waiting til around 1000mi...any thoughts??

actually, my manual says to go easy the first 600mil, but i would definitely avoid going above 4k rpm the first 1000mil.

When i got my P5 the dealer insisted that i took it easy on her the first 1000 miles. . .

Yeah I probably waited til 800m to open it up - I would have waited to 1000m but I had to just show a civic ex that he had nothing on me (and he didn't, haha) also... Maybe she shifted wrong but a girl in her v6 camaro told me I had way better acceleration than here as I passed her then talked to her at a light.
