I've been lurking around this forum for a few weeks now. I went and test drove a Blue Mazdaspeed Protege at a local dealership with a good inventory (2 yellow, 1 silver, 1 titanium, 1 blue) and loved it! I put down a deposit on the Titanium...it has 21 miles on it, and is currently the model in the showroom.
I hope to take delivery by Saturday.
Just wanted to thank everyone for all the valuable information I've gotten from this forum; it has helped me immensly.

Yeah, they had one blue and one silver, the 2003.7 model. I took the blue one out on the test drive, only had 3 miles on it (now it's 19).
I'm in central NJ btw.

I think I've already seen you twice, once on Rt. 1 near the Loewe's in New Brunwsick, and once parked on Easton Ave in New Brunswick.

Cool...thanks for the info about a Jersey meet. I wonder if the Speed owner(s) I saw are members here too?

That's the color I thought I was going to get (blue is my favorite color) but it's a bit too bright of a blue for my taste, I prefer a much darker blue. The Titanium color I like a lot though :)

Buy the BLUE!!! Or at least snap some photos and post them. I can't wait to see the blue one. What dealer are they selling blue MSPs at?

Inventory search shows a shitload of Blues and Silvers at East Coast Mazda in Northeast NJ and a lot of other dealers in the tri-state area.

Awesome...you'll love the car.
P.S. You're an EMT up in Jersey? How long have you been doing it for? I'm an EMD and vehicle dispatcher myself and it's a very rewarding job.

Good choice on the Titanium! :)
Since I'm "older", my Titanium gets a lot more attention than it would if I had orange, yellow, or even blue...people usually ask "what is THAT?" :)
I like how the Titanium blends in with the new wheels and has less of a "hey look at me!" tone to it.

I want to see some pics of the Blue MSP. If you got a camera take some pics.
There should be a NJ meet soon, try and make it.
