WEll this is my crack

it all happened when an STi kicked up some rocks while on the canyon run.........

2 weeks and it's been growing 2 inches per day.

vote how long it will take to get to the other side!

by the way.........never wash your car if it has a crack in the windshield and it's hot outside. crack grew twice in size after i washed it today!

oh and hey, will the windshield like fall onto my lap when it reaches the other side?
i'd be funny if it happened on a freeway.

anyone ever had a crack go all the way across? or will this be a record ?:D

I doubt, due to safety standards, that the glass will fall through. I *believe* all automakers have to put that transparent "glue" lyer to hold the windshield together in case of an accident. That does suck, though...

it won't fall through, it will spyder andstick. oops have to get it replaced anyway.

i have two cracks, one on each side and about every day they get closer to meeting eachother it is crazy. Mazda glass sucks!!! I somehow got these two cracks within two weeks of eachother.:wtf:

welcome to the club, most of us got our windshield replaced due to a stress fracture. :)

My mp3 got a cracked winshield last winter. The defroster cracked it at only the half setting.

It was good enough that the dealership replaced it for free.

That sucks, but welcome to the club. I believe I hold the record for most "crack growth" in 1 day, at 8 inches. It grew that much right after washing it with COLD water on a HOT day - so your warning is valid.

not sure if this is what your intrested in but why dont you get it fixed to where it stops cracking?

it's so big that i dont see the point in getting it glued up.

hey! is it true that u can get a "fix-up" ticket for a cracked windshield?

Take it to the dealer and tell them it spontaniously broke when you washed it 10 times on one hot day. :D Tell them no rocks were involved, it was just the massive love you have for your car and it makes you cry every day :D
