yup, those are the hard pipes that were supposed to come on the car. It would have delayed the release of the car though, so they used what we got. Some sort of crash issue, I do believe.

our intercooler piping now is plastic... it expands and gets heat soak and crap... hard pipes are metal... better diameter, no expanding, more horsepower...
Yeah, this was brought up like earlier this month here http://www.msprotege.com/vbb225/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24289&highlight=silicone+or

Well Spool is making a hardpipe kit. I know I know... you have to spend money and buy crap.....and it sucks that Mazda did not put them on there to begin with, but usually the aftermarket stuff would still open it up a lot better than Mazda would have done. I will keep everyone updated on all of this!

That's a good article. I had mine on order already when I read that. Only one thing is funny looking back.
"Turning up the boost without the first two mods is virtually pointless"
Boy were they ever wrong!
I'm not giving up 74hp to the SRT4 anymore.

From what I've read around here - only around 200 reliably without risking the whole thing.

Well actually they r kind of right. If you crank the boost you really need to get some exhaust or gut the cats.
