btw, do you need anything for the meet? is there a link to a page so people can sign up and say what they are bringing? like food, drinks, bbq grill, etc?

Please Read...Location Change


Due to logistical reasons we are moving the meet to Greensboro. This will make it easier for us to find the perfect location as well as set up all the nessecary support that we will need to pull this off (aka food). Looking at the list of people that are coming this will be a little more centralized location too as we have large crowds coming from the north too. We are also working with a Greensboro based graphics company which is starting a local Import Tuner style magazine. They are very excited about this meet and we want to make it accessible to them. I hope that this change doesn't prevent anyone from coming. We realized that with a meet this size it was going to take a lot more hands on planning and it will be substantially easier to make everything come together if we don't have to drive or make a phone call to Charlotte everytime we need to set something up. It appears that we have created a monster and we are going to make it the best we can. Everybody have fun and we will see you on the 30th.

Mike called me from Charlotte and asked me to make this announcement since the whole Charlotte idea wasn't panning out. It hasn't been completely confirmed yet and we didn't want to blow our cover but there is a large possibility that there will be 50-75 cars coming to this. We just don't have the time to drive back and forth to Charlotte to organize a meet involving that many people. Pro5man...its only 1 more hour north...haha...you lazy bum.

Ok guys, this is final. Due to the overwhelming amount of people coming from the NorthEast, we have changed the meet location to Greensboro,NC. We have rented out prt of a lake that can hold up to 300 cars, and has a shelter to hold alot of people. So this meet will take place rainor shine. There is also a beach area, and a boat dock, so If you want to suntan you can bring a towel. I will post pics of the location and post directions below.

Directions:

From I40: Take the Hwy68 Exit West, Go approx. 5 miles till you reach the SkeetClub Rd. light. Make a right, go approx 2 1/2 miles to the Jhonson ST. light and make a left. Go approx 1 mile to Old Mill Rd. light. Turn left onto Old Mill Rd. Then about 3/4 mile Old mill will end onto Waterveiw RD. Turn right on Waterveiw and the lot is straight ahead on waterveiw about 3/4 down on the end.

From I85: Get off on Hwy311 N.(N.Main ST. Downtown) and go north about 8 miles to Hwy68 (EastChester Dr.) Make a right. Next light Jhonson St. Make a left. Go about 2 1/2 miles to Old Mill Rd. Turn right,Then about 3/4 mile Old mill will end onto Waterveiw RD. Turn right on Waterveiw and the lot is straight ahead on waterveiw about 3/4 down on the end.

The Meet starts Aug 30th at 1pm till its over!! We will be raffling prises and well be giving away "Best of The Meet Trophy". To the nicest ride that shows up. There will be drinks, and food.

If you guys come on Fri and stay the night, there will be a mini meet at Parks Mazda untill 1:00am. There is a high turnout of tuner cars that crewz main st. It is well known for street racing. We have front row seets to the races and ricers!! There is also some good bars here and clubs.

As of right now I do plan on going to this show. But of course I dont know what might pop up that would prevent me from going but as of right now nothing is stopping me from going. Any ideas or plans on when your leaving to head down to NC. I thought maybe we could follow each other down to the meet.

according to the map, its about 160 miles b/t greensboro and greenville (assuming the one in NC is what youre talking about)....their est. time is 3hrs....i think 2.5 will suffice

Hey, I'm 80% sure I'm going. I want to be sure of the car. Haven't had any major problems, but it's a long drive. Right now the tranny can't handle the power I'm putting out. As long as I keep an eye on it, it should be alright. But, I'm looking into a few things, mounting up a tranny cooler, changing to better fluid, and also looking at www.levelten.com they have some nice options. Not to mention the cash flow situation isn't so great for me right now. Still, I'm trying to figure things out.

As long as I reach NC before rush hour and major traffic, I'm happy. The clutch in my Nissan is so damn stiff it's rediculous. It's literally a workout. I would be REALLY pissed off in traffic...lol I wouldn't be surprised if my left calf is twice the size of my right calf in 6 months. This is not a daily driver for sure...lol

BTW, are you staying in a hotel and which one. That way we can all keep in touch while we're down there. I'm staying with family in Greenville. I'll only be about a hour away from Greensboro.

There is a pre-meet that the NC boys have...they sit out at there mazda dealership ( i think) and watch all the rice civics drive by...around here ..our stip is called MAIN ST in NEWARK.. where all the cars drive down..anywaz... thats going on til 1am..Just a night to party and meet everyone...IT will be nice..

Careful on the commute down via 95s through Maryland. I drove home to NJ today from DC and noticed the MD troopers in full force. Unmarked Explorers (XLTs) and numerous troopers standing under over-passes with their guns pointed at the fast lane.

Combine this with holiday weekend chaos and they'll definitely be out looking for out of staters or "easy targets."

Seriously Baby, take it easy especially between B-More and VA. The MD Troopers don't play any games and they do tag team work. They are RARELY ticketing ppl solo. Its usually 2-3 cops at a time ESPECIALLY between exits 25 to19 and 11 to 7.

I'm stating this again. The Troppers here are NO JOKE. They are seriously full force this year with little warning.
