For anyone who's interested, there's a nice article this month in Sport Compact Car Magazine (http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com) about a turbo 1st gen MX-6.

I used to own a 2nd gen MX-6 and it was one of the nicest, more reliable sports coupes I've ever owned.

I think Mazda could have taken than platform to some cool design.. something like a piston engine design variant of the 3rd gen RX-7 chassis... I dunno. :)

I love the MSP but in one sense I'm sad to see they made it. Mazda should come back with a new turbo MX-6 based on a modified RX-8 (or dare I mention it new RX-7) platform instead of a modified 626 platform. That would be kewl as hell.

BTW the MX-6 boards are clamoring about that SCC write up. It's such a rare occasion. The guys who built that car are very intense in that they posted a picture once where the car was entering a driveway with a slight upgrade. The springs are so tight that one of the wheels left the ground.
