I was on the way home the other day, and my turbo started making a wined up toy type noise. It boosts up and holds boost, but sounds like a wined up toy from a happy meal. Like the fins are hitting the housing or something. Any ideas? I need help. Thanx in advance...Later,

That's exactly how mine sounded when my intercooler pipe was cracked.

Well I like a good Italian red myself, I've never had this "Turbo Wine" that you speak of. ;)

The whine is normal when it starts spooling faster and especially on a ball bearing. My T3/T4 on the probe wasnt ball bearing but was more of a whoooosshhh where it was building boost. Plus that hybrid turbo on my probe is huge compared to this one. But I actually like the sound of this T25 although sometimes it sounds loud:)

The 20G on my RX-7 has more of a mack truck effect

I don't think this is his issue. He's not some noob w/o a clue ;) His Turbo has changed from the whistle to a wind up toy sound. Almost as if the turbo fan blades are brushing the housing.
