You've got to be kidding me!!! He is asking $110 for a 8 inch piece of pipe?? :wtf: I made a CAI for mine for free. It doesn't take a genius to cut pipes to a certain length.

ehh, whats the difference between that and just putting a filter directly on the MAF? Wont it still get all kinds of hot air?

Okay, so I was reading the description for the intake, and he says it has "proven horsepower/torque gains"...
I emailed him to get a dyno sheet since it was proven...This was his response:

Hi there,
As you are aware the dyno test would be very specific for the individual car depending on modifications, altitude and location of the test (from climate point of view and temperature). My test are not dyno based. Its a proven fact that a less restrictive intake allows the engine to breath better, thus improving on everything from throttle response to power. Need proof? Open up any magazine or look at any air intake site on the internet.
Regards

I emailed him(see below), so I'll see if he responds:)
"So, you are falsely advertising?? I've got a 2003 Spicy Orange Mica Mazdaspeed Protege, and I've tried the open air filter, and all it does is allow the heat from the fans to be sucked right into the intake filter. That's why I wanted to see these dyno proven gains. You, sir, are a bullshitter. You are better off with the stock air box then with this HUNK OF SHIT you are trying to sell...And to add to it, all it is is an 8 inch peice of PIPE with a filter on it. $109.99?? You're CRAZY.I hope to god there aren't any people out there that think that is worth more than $10. If they are stupid enough to pay $110 for that thing, then I guess they deserve it."
