2003 MazdaSpeed Protege
Spicy Orange Mica
I have 7500 miles on the car with 2 oil changes with mobil 1 synthetic at 3000 miles and 6000 miles
This car is stock with no modifications but a K&N filter

The orange is limited in its own way and im aware that the car isnt that limited anymore but i rather ask high and negotiate thats how ive sold my past 3 cars, people give me offers and i negotiate thats how you sell a car. The starting price can have a bearing on what the final price is. Later

that is true, however just make sure you know its not high enough to scare people away. i just sold my previous car, mercedes c230 coupe. sure it costed 32k for me, but even advertising at 28 people would think its high.

Dude I dont care i just posted to say that my car is for sale and is obviously negotiable for those who want to make offers please do and for those who just want to make stupid comments about the price go post somewhere else ive sold 3 cars before and i know how to sell a car i dont need criticsm for how im doing it. If the car sells for only 17 then thats what it is i just have a starting price at what i feel is best to negotiate from.

Don't even get me going on how you expect to sell a car to the same people you always bitch about it to :).

Anyway- word of advice guys- you are trying to advertise your car in a forum where most members already have them :). The only way this will work for you is if someone here happens to have a friend that wants one or something.

Good luck anyway- OrangeSpeed- you may want to advertise a bit lower. I know it says OBO- but people have been driving off the deales lot for less out the door for a brand new one. A lot of people will see the price and either get scared or just say "fuck that" and never even inquire. Just my .02 for what ever it is worth to you :). As for knowing how to sell a car, that may be true- but not when asking more than a new one would sell for. I personally could care less, if people do consistently ask high prices, it will only help the resale of mine whan I go to sell it :)- I am just trying to give you some advice based on my experience (I have owned/sold well over 100 cars- so I think I am qualified to comment on this :).

i dont think the demand is high enough for it to be limited. just because the numbers are low, doesnt make it limited.

the demand is pretty high here in central illinois.. our dealership received 6 mazdaspeeds, when they were only suppossed to get 5.. 1 orange, 2 black, 1 yellow, 1 titanium and 1 blue they are suppossed to be getting soon.. selling an orange one, it would sell fast here.. had 3 ppl try and go buy it a couple days after i had already gotten it..

I know my car is limited, but at the local stealership, there's another mica orange... and it's been there for months!! I think the higher the price the harder it is to sell.

there are 3 mazdaspeeds at my local dealer. 1 yellow and 2 black once. another dealer had 2 black once for month!!! There is no high demand for them at all especially with all the clunk/hesitatin problems and lack of power.

The reason I saw the price must be the deterrent is that the MP3s literally disappeared. Yet that MSP is just gathering dust at the dealership. Either that or people have way less money than they had back then.

It also probably didn't hurt the MP3 sales any that they constantly played commercials for it on TV. I have not seen ONE MSP commercial.. What gives???

i didn't even know about the MSP until i went to the dealership with my bro looking at his 6 he is going to buy.. then i saw this, test drove it the next day, applied for loan the next day, and picked it up 2 days later.. it was the best out of the like 4 cars i was looking at.. had to move fast..
