no tires...that sucks...

DeanSweet

actually, no tires could be a good thing considering what shipping costs that is needed to ship them.

From what i've heard the MP3 wheels are like 34 (37?) lbs each. Probably not the best choice for auto-x.

34 (37?) lbs

with tires maybe but not the rim alone. The tire with rim is lighter then the stock es mp5 rims. The MP3 rim alone is probally around 19 -22 lbs.

Are these rims still for sale??

When I weighed my rims they were right around 19lbs. That is rim only. Not too bad but not great either. Nice looking upgrade for the P5 though and being that thier used you can pick them up alot cheaper than you would buying them new. They are $300US a piece brand new.

the stock 16x6" ES rim weighs just about 16 lbs. tire is another 16 for a total of ~32 lbs.

i don't see how the 17x7" MP3 rim w/ tire will be lighter, esp with the MP3 rims coming in at 19-22 lbs.

remember, they're not real "racing quality" Racing Harts.

Ell when I used to change my stock tires and mp3 tires all I cann tell you is that tne stock tire felt significantley heavier. I dont know if I believe that the stock tire only way 16 lbs. Also the mp3 rims van either have 40 or 45 on them wheir as the stock tires I believe is like 55 or 65 so if it is holding more air in it. Hence it will be heavier. Although I dont know if it actually holds more air as the Mp3 rim is 1/2 inch wider. But I can tell you they feel significantly different. I grabbed my stock tire again just because I couldnt believe the difference.

i KNOW that the V700s i had shipped to me weighed 16 lbs each, and i couldn't feel any difference between the two tires, so i think 16 pounds for a 195/50/16 tire is reasonable.

no way they weigh 55-60 pounds as a unit, or i'm much, much stronger than i thought. :)

since the MP3 wheels are cast, not forged, there is really no reason for them ( at 17x7) to be lighter than the cast 16x6 stock wheel.

and i'd say the air inside is negligible.

i'll try to weigh them to make certain.

lol.no i wasnt talking pounds I was talking the size of the tire. Wheir a 55 65 firewall is taller then a 40 45 firewall making it bigger (holding more air in them). Hell no it way sno 55 65 lbs.

i'll try to weigh them to make certain

That would be cool, so we could finally get the fact.

fyi...stock size is 195/50/16 on 16x6 cast aluminum rims.

I've weighed both the stock P5 rims w/tires and the MP3 rims with Khumo's, the Stock were 36 lbs, and the MP3's were 43 lbs.

The stock MP3 rims weigh 24.5 lbs each. Not sure where this 19lb number is coming from. I bought aftermarket wheels for autoX so it would be lighter by 5 lbs each.
Good luck with the sale. If there is enough interest there may be a third set available. :)

yeah the potential buyer is me, i get paid today, but since i dont have direct deposit, i wont have my paycheck until monday. our main office is in florida, and they mail the payroll checks to us up in cleveland, but they dont get here until monday. I will be getting a HUGE paycheck, 4 weeks worth, so after work on monday I will go deposit it and get a cashiers check from the bank while i'm there. I can then immediatley drop that check in the mail to ya. so if you fuck this up for me mooS i will personally come over there and kick your ass! :D

btw what kind of monitor is it?
