Pretty simple question. Bascially what's the easiest way to get at the radio? I need to install my Sirius Satelite Radio and need the changer plug on the headunit to plug it in. I was just wondering if there's like an easy way to get the radio out, or if I even have to pull it out to get at it. Thanks in advance.

ok, the carbon silver center piece where the radio is mounted comes right off. Stick a flat head up under there (covered in a towel) and pry it off .. nicely that is. Then you need to disconnect some stuff, ie air contrrollers etc. No problemo.

Stick it up were, I really don't want to use the dash pad as like a prying point. Hmmm I'll have to look into a little more and see what I can find.

The "Kenwood HU removal tool" everyone talks about is a friggen joke. Just use 2 long, thing peices of metal(aka a butter knife) on each side then pull it out. Thats how easy it is

Do I have to remove any part of the dash or trim ring or anything like that? I thought you still had to remove the dash peice or somthing like that.

remove the black trim ring around the radio and slide your "tool" or butter knife on each side of the radio and pull the radio out,you may have to pull it with some pliers.if you need more access to run your wiring the pocket has clips on each side that can be pushed in from underneath the dash and the pocket will pop out.no need to remove carbon dash.
