just picked up the August issue last night. Guy takes a racing school at Laguna Seca in a 2003.5 yellow MSP. Not much talk about the car until the end but he says only good stuff about how amazing the handling is on the track and he really liked the power too......

THE BEST PART --- the article ends with this....."Tune in next issue as we explore what makes a Mazdaspeed Protege such a performer and how to make it even better"

let's hope they drop some knowledge about aftermarket parts or Mazda goodies coming out.....fingers crossed.

Cool, but in typical magazine style- they will hype up all the big $$$ over priced Greddy, HKS and other crap.. Not that it doesn't work, but the mags always tend to go for the glitzy crap and no down to earth tuning.

I was thinking the exact same thing, probably a bunch of parts that I won't be able to afford.

You got it- and if you notice- most of the parts they use come from "paid advertisers"- go figure :).. i knew a guy who had a car in Turbo and it had a lot of his own parts and such in it and the write up made no mention of his stuff or the other "no name" stuff and said the car had HKS this, Greddy that, etc.. It had none of what they said it did..
