Oil Change

When we suppose to go for oil change?
Is 6000km a lot?

I plan to go to 1/4 mile next days, but I dunno if the miss of a oil change will affect the performance or even hurts the car when I push it on 1/4 mile..

I'd probably get one if I were you, but I don't think you're evil or anything for going 6,000kms :). I usually go 3500miles before a change, and thats probably overkill, but whatever. Its cheap.

hum...just switched to amsoil yesterday :D...although it claims its oil can last 25,000 miles...i will keep it refresh every 6 month or 6k miles since i drive only 10k/year...but if u and do not use better fully sync oil like mobile-1 or castrol...i suggest change it along with filter every 3000 miles...if u use sync...3500 or 4000 would be fine...just my opinion...:)
