Shift Light

I wanted to put in a shift light indicator, but i was having some problems finding the revolution signal wire in the cpu. anyone know which wire it is?

I couldn't remember where I found it, so I looked it up. It shows a Purple/white wire, in the diagnostic connector, drivers side rear corner of engine compartment. Will test as Alternating current, varying voltage with RPM's. This sounds about right remembering my install. It's been over 6 mos., kinda hard to remember that far back!

Hey guys i really want to get a shift light too.... but i dont think i can afford it right now.... is there a certain good brand that they come in ... wut type?... price range..... appreciate it if u guys can help. thz :D
