hey i searched and didnt get much.
im suprised i would have seen this one more but,
would adding a short throw shifter to our MSP make a big difrence. Ive noticed how much shorter the throw already is compared to my P5 so i was just curious if like the BM would make all that much of a difrence or f i should just save my money and buy something useful like fritos or some ruffles

For your Mazdaspeed, first try the Kartboy bushings. It will take the extra play out of the shifter and make your shifts nice and notchy.

If after that you think the shifts are still a little long, go for the Kartboy lever (see if they can thread it for your stock knob, if you want to keep it). I wouldn't recommend the B&M for the Mazdaspeed unless you don't mind raising your shift knob.

any shorter and I'll have to shift with my fingertips......to me it's already as low as it could be and not cause me to miss shifts.

The Kartboy lever will shorten the throws, but it doesn't seem like it would locate the knob much lower. Like I said, your biggest improvement will be with the bushings.

Here's the thread from when I installed my TWM ...

thread (http://msprotege.com/vbb225/showthread.php?s=&threadid=18668&highlight=shifter)

It shows that the MSP stock shifter is short , but not necessarily a short throw .

There's other threads that have pics of the stock, TWM, B&M, and Kartboy compared side-by-side (although the TWM is the first gen, not the one I have).
