Hey guys, as alot of people
in the DC metropolitian area have known,
I am trying to make this meet work
so far here are the facts
1. Day.......July19th, a Saturday
2. Time......I will be there with my friend setting up from 10am
Any body wanna come early is more than welcome. We will be there for the whole day
3. Location.......I have got OFFICIAL CONFIRMATION from the GMU(George Mason Campus) parking, patriot center officials that it is OK to use the parking lot.
This parking lot holds in excess of 100 cars, so, there will be a ton of space for our use.
4. Activities.....There will be BBQ, music provided in couretsy of the subwoofers of the proteges(hope that is ok????:D )
There is a mall rigt across that street that we could WALK to. There is a deli, a restruant, Baskin Robins(I think) and a movie theater. There is a ton of stuff to do there.
5. Things in the planning
A. I am trying to get a aftermarket shop down there. What I am working on is that all the people that attend get a discount on installation or products. I am currently working on that
B. I am contacting a dealer if they want to come (they are like 3 miles away) and present a car(a custom made miata or a mazda 6 or even a Mazdaspeed protege) and get their place more publicity. I am still talking with them
Those two last things, depend on the turnout of the members. I am aiming around 50-60 cars. If that does show up, that will be a blast for us and the shop and dealer
I realize that there are not 50-60 cars in the area, but S.VA and MD and DC. Some people showed intrested from up north coming down and some from SC. Please, be able to make it.
