Hi everyone, I placed a poll in the P5 forum asking if any other P5 owers were having problems with "Craters" and " Pits " Suddenly appearing on their hoods without them even noticing anything hitting their cars, and upon close examination of said pits, noticing that the paint on our P5's are reallllly realllly thin.... I mean one little pit, and you can practically see bare metal

what I wanted to find out is if this problem is specific only to P5's or Mazdas in General .. so if you have also experienced this, please let us know... together we may be able to do something to help each other out

My paint has been coming off very easily, but most of the newer Mazdas will have this problem as they are using less toxic/less durable paint.

Yeah, I have a lot of pits on my hood, I need to get some to get some touch up paint and fix it. I doubt that mazda will do anything.

it is thin. all Manufactures, even more so Japan ones are going to thinner paints for evironmental reasons, and cost of course.

Paint isn't what it used to be.

Yeah paint sure isn't what it used to be. I've stopped caring everytime i see little knicks on my hood. Just touch em up. Someday when I have money I'll spend some money on a good paint job.
