Engine swap

I got a cherry 49,000Mi orig 1990 awd protege' and would like to drop a turbo in it. It got a 1.8L SOHC Engine family LTK1.8V5FFE7 in it wanna swap to a 1.8L DOHC Turbo (BP-T) engine.

Any1 see any complications with this? Any info / coments are welcome

That will be a nice combo. You will probably be using the BP-T trans, since the Protege AWD trans is known to be weak. The BPT trans is not well renown for its durability, but it should be good if you don't do too many hard launches.

As the man said, get the BPT AWD transmission with the BPT engine. If you are lucky enough to find a GTR BPT and trans, jump all over that with fangs flaring and claws drawn :D

Thanks for the info I'm saveing for the swap now. Gonna be awhile just fixing the small stuff now, and switching my B2000 back to stick
