***Calling everyone who is going to spoolin's open house** PLEASE READ AND POST

Hey guys. This thread is for those going to spoolin's open house on the 27th of july. ((correct me if im wrong but i believe that it is the right date.)) We were planning on getting together to be there on Saturday.
I wanted to get a head count on the guys/gals who are going to attend from New York, North Jersey,Pennsylvania. Some of us wanted to get together and make the trip down together. It would be great to get some people together and have a protege train like the jersey meet last month. Just bigger.
We would need to know when you all were planning on leaving so that arrangements can be made for us to meet up with the fellow members from the Maryland and Virginia areas. Thanks in advance for your participation.

BTW, since it's on a sat. there are a lot of commuter parking lots along I-95 and I'm thinking one of them could be a meeting spot for us Virginia people to meet up with ya'll coming from up north. redrims and I are busy working on setting up meeting spots for the Maryland people to meet some Virginia ones.
Just narrowly down to places that are easy to get to from the highway, have gas, plenty of room, and food.

Not sure if we were going on Saturday but I'm strongly considering it.

REMillers - No I live off of Rt. 610 in Stafford. It's about a 40-50 min. ride to Richmond from there. I was thinking of one commuter lot in particular that is absolutely huge and right off of the interstate... close to Potomac Mills. I don't mind backtracking a whole 10-15 min to meet up with the others coming from the north. Anyways, keep in touch with me and I'm sure we can come up with a good meeting place.

There is a huge commute lot right off 95 at the Prince William parkway, that or the rest area that sits right after the Mall.

Can have some of the people who live around there meet there, and just merge onto 95 when we pass. I'll call your someone will call you guys and let you know when we are coming up on it. That way we don't have to navigate a huge bunch of cars into the rest area.

Yeah, burke charges a fee "sometimes" and I use that term loosely. Sometimes we do have to pay, but most of the time since it's after 4 we can just drive in. But, it's 4 or 6 dollars to get in for non residence. We should get there around 4:30 or so, you'll see my MP3. It would be great to meet you!

Actually that will probably work out well.
The exit off of 95 can go two ways.
1.One part of the exit will lead the to rest stop which merges right onto 95 before the truck scales. Anyone not needing gas can drive down there and hang.

2.Then down another road that will lead to a gas station for those needing gas. Then the light out of it will lead to the rest stop where we can all meet up again and head back onto 95.

I'll get the exit numbers today and such.

Sorry been super busy this week helping my girlfriend out with her dad who had a 5 bypass heart surgery. :(

Potomac Mills exit sounds good. Jeremy Thomas (eeterp), Michael D (Seminolman), and a new P5 owner (Emily) and I will meet anyone there but we will leave the meet point at 9:30a.m. No later. We want to be there at 11a.m. I understand if thats a little too early for some people. Thats just what we are doing. It wouldbe nice to have others for the trip if you can make it tho.

I'll meet at the Potomac Mills area, but wouldn't you say get off at the exit that says Prince William Parkway and meet at the commuter lot?? REMiller, UPSMAN... what do ya'll think? It's easy to see from 95 and a lot of space for cars, then there's a gas station that's easy to get to also. I don't know I just was thinking if you get off at the Potomac Mills exit it may get confusing. I think the one before which is PWP would be easier for people that don't know the area... because all you have to do is get off of the exit and turn right! Up to ya'll, just a suggestion!

The exit before the Potomic Mills Mall is 158B, that is where there is a big ass comuter lot is, unless there is one after the mall. At that location, you can take the road up a bit and there's gas stations. I agree with this spot being the best, it huge and you can't miss it.

Ya the commuter lot would be easy to, the gas station is actually about a mile down the road through a stop light. Those needing to gas up can go there then head back down the road and make a left into the commuter lot.

Only problem I saw with this was you have to wait at a stoplight to get back on 95. Just saw that as a problem for getting a large group of cars back onto 95.

Guess it depends on just how many will be coming. If it is a really large group then the commuter will hold them.

But if it is a decent group we may fit in the rest area.

Tell you what at the upcoming MJM meet I'll make a map of areas and we can decide then. Weigh both pro's and con's of each area.

upsman/Jeremy - I'll be there by 9:30 on Saturday unless somewhere else is thought about, but it's def. a great spot to meet. I'll be backtracking from Stafford but that's the best place I could think of!

REMillers - I don't think it would be too much of a problem to wait for people that need to gas up... they can go do that while we wait for anyone else to show up.

Also to let everyone know it is summer and 95 south is pretty packed on Saturday's. The past couple weekends it's been slow go from Woodbridge to Fredericksburg. Just something to think about. Everyone is heading south for the Beaches!! I know this because I live about halfway between Woodbridge and Fredericksburg... and everytime I pass over 95, south is slow go!!
