SWEEET DAY it was yesterday...
Well to make a long story short, I just bought my speed 7days ago and I was already registered for the Street Dreams Tour 3 in Detroit at Cobo Hall. I was placed into the broad mazda class and was judged by a few gentlemen who were actually quite nice. One of the guys himself told me that he had a protoge and really like my car but could not give me points for aftermarket stuff that was already on the car. Well, being that my car is 7days old, it got a lot of cleanliness points which ended up helping me out.
In the awards ceremony when they came to announcing the mazda class winners I thought to myself im in that class but didnt think anything else of it. Then they call my name for third place and i was ecstatic! I seriously couldnt believe it!
My only mods were an injen filter and a NOS system rigged to cool down my intercooler. Thats it!
Oh well I believe this is a great start to a great car! Here are some pics!! enjoy....

Mods mods mods.. jeez:rolleyes:
well i am planning on seeing what this stock GT25 turbo is capable of so i will most likely get some better flow going on. I will most likely purchase that down pipe that apex motorsports is producing and then attempt to find some serious hardpiping for the ic pipes and what not. I want to install a blow off valve, and it would be a lot easier if i had the hard pipes to weld a flange for say a HKS ssqv into. But i may opt to wait and do a custom FMIC with those hard pipes; i dunno yet:confused:
I have already ordered a greddy turbo timer and a Joep MBC. Those should be here by this week.
Hopefully i will up the boost to 9 lbs get that down pipe in, install a fmic, get a piggy back fuel system (greddy e-manage) custom 2.5inch exhaust (cat back) and finally do some spool springs.
Nice list huh??
How much do you think all that will set me back??? Not including dyno time??

I got them for $325 at a local import shop, and installed them myself. My Spools will be here on Wednesday, and the Skunk's will be coming out this coming Saturday. They will be for sale if you want them, or know someone that might...They've got about 3,500 miles on them.

Congrats. I could never enter a competition. I have way to many rock chips in my front end. It looks like it has been peppered and I got some big ones too.

Hey Bryan, it's Bryan with the orange msp from the show. Congrats again man. I wish I would have entered my car, even though it wasn't as clean as yours. Anyways, you might have won an award, but I got the trophies baby, check out this pic!!!
If someone can post it on here I would appreciate it, since I don't know how. Thanks

Bryan,
I just got the JIC exhaust installed, so the next mod is going to be either coilovers and wheels or downpipe and FMIC. After that I'm gettin the injen CAI, then upping the boost to 9. Hopefully then I'll be happy. LOL!
