Does anyone's transmission make a whinning sound at about 80mph or above?
Mine just started this morning.
Oh, I just had my trans serviced yesterday.

Should I worry?
Thank's in advance

some people find a whining sound after installing the KB bushings and shifter. i dont think anyone knows why or how to get rid of it though.

good luck. ;)

what'd you get done? Were there cars skidding off the road behind you from the oil slick path you left? (laugh)

I got the whistle or whin from my bushing and shifter... Very faint though...

lol.. I did happen to see a few cars swirving behind me, but did'nt think much of it. j/k

The whistle or whine I have goes away when off the throttle, and back on when I gas it.
I'm stumped.

Thank for your responses, guys.

The KB bushings, NOT shifter is what makes the added noise, there have been people with other shifters + KB bushings that hear the noise. But since you hadn't noticed the whine before the tranny service (or maybe you just started paying attention after the service?) I don't know what that may be.

The KB bushings cause a little rattling noise when in gear and no throttle is applied AND they cause a whine that goes up a little in pitch as you accelerate.

(wow) With an itty bitty waist and a round thing on my screen I get SPRUNG! Good god man! Who is that cbcbd?

um, I got the same whistle. Goes away when you let off the gas. It's the bushing.
