I'd like to know who I'm messing with before I race them. Which cars can the stock MSP beat. Would it beat Golf 1.8T/VR6? I'm talking all stock no mods on either car. Can you guys list it?

he's got a point. then again don't be an idiot about it either thinking you might stand a snowballs chance in hell going up against a single turbo supra or 7. choose your battles wisely but don't make up some chart before hand laying out all the car you may be able to beat.
also, if your going to go stock vs stock try factoring in the driver error. that'll really mess with your equation. who says either driver know what the hell they're doing

agreed, whats the fun in racing something u know u will beat? and i like the idea of little stickers on the driverside front fender for kills, that would crack me up at a stop light.

I held a C5 vette off this weekend for about 4 laps, he couldn't hang through the S's and the long high speed sweepers.

It took me about 10 laps for my balls to swell up large enough for my foot to stay on the floor through that sweeper. Coming in at 85mph and letting the car slide out to the other side of the track slowly was something they just couldn't do :) Just a little twitchy but still held its ground!

bone stock a 1.8t will beat you. you have a vr6, unless your on the highway, in that cases they'll pull you pretty good (vr6s have a high top end to them)

Ive been beat by a 1.8 gti, I stayed close till we got to about 75 then he just keep pulling away. Ive beat quite a few hondas but those damn dohc vtecs always come back at about 80 or so
You can always check the road test digest in the back of Car and Driver, it's pretty realistic as they temperature-correct everything, but the real variable is the guy behind the wheel.
...and while I'd have phrased it somewhat differently, AGR7 has a very valid point. Too easy to die - and far too easy to take an innocent person (or child) with you. Track time is relatively cheap.
