Or the southern area in general.. I can't remember what event it is, but it's like.. March 8-10, something like that.. and a friend of mine and some of his friends who drive Mazdas are all going, and they want me to go too.. so once I find out more, some of you guys should meet up with us.. ^_^ wheeeee-ness!

I dunno, but there are a LOT of import shows in Texas in march and april it seems like. I'll be at as many as I can, that's fo' sho'! :D

Hey Everyone,

The main event that weekend is the Mobil 1 World Import Challenge (http://www.worldimportchallenge.com) in Baytown. MAZDA is one of the Major sponsors and the Protege 5 is the official car of the event. This is definitely going to be A LOT bigger than the Import Revolution at the Astro Hall. The Super Street Tour will be stopping off there as well. You guys should try to come out, it'll be fun (spread the word).

I graduated in 2001. I have a black LS with the mods below. I may have raced you. I raced a teal MX3 once on kingwood drive. I pulled up beside him in first gear and then spun my tires like crazy as I shifted into second. I don't know if you would remember this. It was last christmas break time I think. It was fun. Anyhow, good job with that club. Hopefully other students will follow your lead.

I would go, I really would but I am going to colorado that week. I can't stand that it has to be that weekend for the WIC. I will be in town the weekend before however. Perhaps we could have a mazda, mazda, acura kingwood meet then or something.

Colorado sucked IMO, stupid cold and ice and altitude sickness making me think I was gonna die, the only parts I liked were the Imprezas and the salt and vinegar potato chips, which Kingwood has a mysterious lack of. Ah well, I'm sure Res-san will have a good time.. :o

HELL YEAH I WILL HAVE A GOOD TIME!!! Snowboarding all day, then party all night (well not totally but you know). This will be an amazing trip. Just my friends and I, no parents. I don't dislike my parents in any way, it will just be cool to relax with a bunch of friends without having to worry about anything. I can't wait!

This is why all 3 times I have went, I have went in the Spring or Summer. It is a beautiful place to be then. You can stil see snow in some places, and have fun all day long without burning up like in Texas. I plan on going to Alaska in the near future. :D

ughhhhhh...you've got those annoying paint chips, too? since this is my first car (i've owned nothing but trucks), I haven't had to deal with that. any tips or suggestions on how to help prevent this from happening? i drive hwy 90 about 100 miles a day 5 days a week.

yeah...sadly, houston is a terrible place to have car shows. Every show seems to be a bust! IREV was terrible, and sadly, there was a shooting sunday when people were coming home from the world import challenge. its time for me to pack up and move to california where its all at!!!

Shooting? When and where did this take place at the WIC on Sunday? I was there till the very end and only thing I saw was a massive traffic jam coming back, on the opposite direction, towards downtown Houston on I-10... thought the event was pretty harmless from my experience. hmm..

it occured when people were leaving from the event. It was on some bridge i forgot what the name was. apparently, a black honda civic started firing on three cars leaving together. One guy got shot in the back of the head.
