Finally! Another Black Mica MAZDASPEED in the Memphis area....

We met up earlier this afternoon. Really cool 'actually' seeing another MAZDASPEED on the streets. And; a really nice guy, too!

Here are some photos. We had our own little mini meet! Ha! Corey (MemphisRacer) already has some nice upgrades on his car. He can tell you all more about that; but I will say; he is boosting with a Turbo XS SBC, custom intake, and blowing nitrous.

Yes,,yes; it was a lazy afternoon........ And; today was the first I had even driven my MAZDASPEED since the 23rd of April. Nice to be back in the driver's seat.

Thanks; regarding the pix. Corey actually fabricated that intake from one he bought at AutoZone (I believe he said it was for a Honda). He cut the pipe with a saw to fit it in. And; then he used the filter cone that came with the kit. The blue connection tubing also came with the kit. $30.00. I would think a K&N would fit that pipe, also.

Hey everybody, its great to be here. It was cool to meet another msp owner in memphis and he was a nice guy at that!

About my car, im running a TurboXS SBC set at 9.5lbs. I also installed a dry nitrous kit with the nozzle placed about 6 inches before the intercooler to help out with those really hot and humid days memphis seems to get all of the time.

About the intake, i made it myself, if anybody would like me to fabricate one for them, just e-mail me at memphisracer@yahoo.com and we can work out some details.

haha, i can relate!! if i had my own micro brewery i would never leave the house :D

about getting to nashville, that would be awsome, i could see it now... a convoy of blackmica msp's, im gettin all hot and bothered just thinking about it!!!!!

And about the n2o, im just using a 20 shot pill in the boost pipe just before the intercooler so as it sits it provides more of a cooling factor than hp, but if i bump up the shot, ill have the best of both purposes.

Well I don't have it just yet but I ordered it last week and should be getting it by the end of April. I'll let you know. Damn! This is a really old thread. (freak) I knew MemphisRacer. 'Haven't heard from him since last year (before he totalled his 'Speed). I guess; I am the only Black Mica 'Speed in the immediate area. I haven't seen any others.


And no; I don't race. 1/4 mile does not interest me in the least.
