D-Day!!!

My P5 is damaged after only 5 months of joy, some deer decided to run across the road when I'm just several yards away and doing 40-mph.... :'( :'( :'(

That sucks man, but you got off pretty lucky. It could have hit dead center in your car and done alot more damage.

Im not sure where summerset is but if it is anywhere near hillsboro or sumerville NJ. I have seens so many deer up that way it is amazing. They graze in the fields in heards.

I hit it on Cedar Grove Lane in Somerset very close to Rt.287 Exit 10, I kind of steer to my left a little and slam on my brake to avoid hitting it dead center, which might damage my windshield and all.

BTW, I'm going to ask them to install the AutoExe front lip for me while they have the paint mixed, but they'll need at least 5 days to fix it....

Sorry dude that really does suck. Better than my front end that is peppered with little dings from the damn rocks the Semi's kick up. I'm serious I probably have more than anyone here and I'm super anal about not tail gating.

The deer was half dead after I hit it, and died later that night, no one was hurt and I agree to most of you to I got lucky and the damage wasn't as bad as others...

That seriously sucks man. Hope you get it back with the new lip. Always good when you have a crash to get some new parts.

Right now I'm getting estimates from several different body shop in my area to determine the best for my buck, as far as the front lip go it should arrive at my house by tomorrow so I can bring it with me and ask them exactly how much extra they will charge...

I've also purchased a 2 gauges pod to be attached to my A-pillar and I've just got my friend to paint match it for me, I'm hoping to everything will be in place soon and my ride will look much nicer afterward... :cool:

At first I felt really bad for the deer for about 3 minutes, and then I looked at my car and said ... "let me take that deer to the hospital, let it recover and asked him to PAY FOR THE DAMAGE!!!"

Just kidding, my insurance is paying for it and they say it'll be consider a comprehensive lost meaning my rate will not increase... :cool:

BTW, my DG front lip should be here by the end of next week so after the car is fix it will look "different"...
